Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club

The newly opened $3.3 million, 11,000-square-foot expansion at Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club, Greenwood Village, CO, has expanded the club’s mind/body and martial arts programming. The expansion, which opened last month after seven months of construction, includes new yoga, Pilates, Barre and martial arts studios. It increased the club to 101,000 square feet.

“We are excited to continue to improve the club year after year and keep members from wanting for more,” Paula Neubert, president and general manager of Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club, said in a release from the company.

The new wing on the north side of the club is home to a 2,000-square-foot, climate-controlled yoga studio with heated floors. The yoga studio allows Greenwood Athletic to offer 30 yoga classes per week with eight types of yoga. The addition of the classes in this new studio brings Greenwood Athletic’s total yoga class offering to more than 130 complimentary classes per week.

The new wing also features a dedicated Barre Studio, in which modern ballet is combined with rehabilitative exercises.

A 1,400-square-foot pilates studio features equipment classes, and a smaller studio is used for private training. Nonmembers now have an entrance directly to the Pilates studios, where they can participate in programs such as Pilates for Golfers, Pilates for Athletes and Beginner Pilates.
