SUMMERLIN, NV — 24 Hour Fitness has teamed with tennis great and Olympic Gold Medal winner Andre Agassi. The partnership includes the creation of new 24 Hour Fitness Agassi Super-Sport Clubs — the first of which debuted in Agassi's Las Vegas hometown on Feb. 23. Agassi, who has long been an ambassador and advocate of fitness, will put his own “signature” on the look, feel and facilities of the new clubs, and become a face for the company's advertising campaign, the company said.

“Exercise should be an important part of everyone's life. Having spent a great deal of my life devoted to fitness, I believe partnering with 24 Hour Fitness is a great vehicle to share my passion for health and fitness,” said Agassi. “I am very excited to be a part of this great company. And, I look forward to the many ways we will work together to help people achieve their health and fitness goals.”

Agassi noted that 24 Hour Fitness' official sponsorship of the upcoming Olympics also played a role in his decision to align with the company. He joins another former Olympian, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who launched a string of successful 24 Hour Fitness Magic Johnson Sport Clubs in 2001.

“Partnering with Andre Agassi, who is by far one of the best conditioned athletes ever, will allow us at 24 Hour Fitness to continue to reach out and inspire people to lead a healthier lifestyle,” said Mark Mastrov, chairman and CEO, 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide. “His knowledge and passion for fitness is unparalleled in the world of sports and will be a huge added benefit to our team and members.”

According to the company, all 24 Hour Fitness Agassi Super-Sport Clubs will be full-service fitness facilities with numerous amenities. Members will have access to amenities such as a 25-meter lap pool, whirlpool, steam room and sauna, and indoor court sports such as racquetball, squash and basketball and more.
