I was pleased to see that so many of you found our Web site valuable last year. During 2007, the traffic to our site continued to increase. The two areas with the most traffic were our news stories and our how-to articles in the Step by Step department. However, I was also pleased to see that the blog, which we started at the beginning of last year, was so popular, particularly when the editors blogged about some of the major trade shows and conferences that we attended.

Many of you also took time to listen to the podcasts we added last year. The audio interviews with our Executive Insights column participants (including Carl Liebert of 24 Hour Fitness and Geoff Dyer of Lifestyle Family Fitness) were accompanied by full transcripts.

This year, we will add more information to our statistics page, and we are planning other additions that we'll share with you later. We are doing our best to make the site as valuable to you as possible. If you have suggestions for our Web site, please contact me at pam.kufahl@penton.com.

Welcome New Advisors

I'd like to welcome two new editorial advisory board members to the magazine this year. Bill McBride, COO of Club One in San Francisco, is replacing Jill Kinney, also of Club One. We are also adding an expert from the university fitness side. Gene C. Grzywna, director of campus recreation, department of athletics and recreation at Northeastern University in Boston, is also new to the board. We look forward to all the knowledge that these new advisors will add to the publication.
