In spite of several facility closings due to the Sept. 11th tragedy at the World Trade Center, Plus One Fitness has come back stronger than ever for 2002. In the first quarter of this new year alone, Plus One will open up the following three sites.
The Lehman Brothers Fitness Center is an 8,000-square-foot center opening February 2002. This center is located on the 21st floor of the new Lehman Brothers headquarters in midtown Manhattan. It was designed by Plus One and will provide fitness services and personal training for approximately 300 Lehman Brothers executives.
The Bear Sterns Fitness Center, an 8,000-square-foot center open to all Bear Sterns employees, will also open in February 2002. The facility is located within the Bear Sterns new world headquarters in mid-town Manhattan.
In March 2002, Plus One will open a 30,000-square-foot fitness and recreation facility for Merrill Lynch in Hopewell, N.J. This facility will service more than 2,500 Merrill Lynch employees and is the third fitness center Plus One has designed and is managing for the company.
