Club One continues to grow.
LA JOLLA, Calif.-Club One, a San Francisco-based club chain, continues its expansion efforts, this time with the acquisition of the Sporting Club at Aventine in La Jolla. Robert Dinner-man, the club's founder and former owner, has joined Club One as a management consultant, aiding in the chain's growth throughout the Western United States.
Designed by renowned architect Michael Graves, the Sporting Club at Aventine features more than 32,000 square feet of fitness and sports areas, including tennis courts, an Olympic-sized outdoor pool and a day spa. It serves approximately 2,000 members. Recently, Shape magazine named the facility as one of the top five health clubs in the United States.
