LOS ANGELES -- A woman collapsed and died on Wednesday night inside an Equinox club in Los Angeles, according to multiple reports.
One TV station, the CBS affiliate in Los Angeles, reported that detectives from the local sheriff’s department said that the woman had a seizure and died in the locker room of the West Hollywood Equinox club. Another TV station, the NBC affiliate in Los Angeles, reported that the woman was found dead at 8 p.m. and that no foul play was suspected.
Sherriff’s deputies locked down the club while tending to the woman, but the club reopened later in the night, according to another report.
New York-based Equinox told Club Industry today that the incident is closed and that it preferred not to comment.
