SOUTH BEACH, FL—By the end of last year, the women-only club Elements had hit a 25-club milestone, and so far this year, the company has opened one club in Exeter, NH, with another 25 clubs in development across the United States, according to Chris Palumbo, brand strategist for the company. Elements offers fitness and weight loss services and bills itself as a boutique-style health club.

At two Element locations the company is piloting workout technology that automatically calibrates equipment to a member’s preference, records her workout, tracks her heart rate and makes recommendations for future progress.
