Debra Siena

CHICAGO -- Debra Siena has been promoted to president of Proactive Partners, a division of Chicago-based TCA Holdings LLC, which owns and operates Midtown Athletic Clubs.

Proactive Partners manages fitness centers and provides health and wellness initiatives for companies across the United States. Siena’s responsibilities as president include setting strategy and vision for the company, overseeing operations to insure quality and service as well as new business development.

After joining TCA Holdings in 1986, Siena was promoted to manager of a small fitness center in downtown Chicago. From there, she added regional responsibilities, initially for other small clubs and eventually over multiple small and large clubs, including clubs in Atlanta and Montreal. Siena has been involved in the start-up or takeover of every fitness club in Proactive Partners’ current portfolio since 1989.

“Debra’s rise through TCA is an inspiring story,” TCA Holdings President and CEO Steven Schwartz said in a statement. “Transitioning within TCA from the Midtown Athletic Clubs division to Proactive Partners, her operating experience and natural sales ability, passionate interest in wellness, strength in working with third-party owners and management contract experience has resulted in Proactive Partners doubling in size.”

Siena has been a featured speaker at numerous industry shows, including the Club Industry and International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) shows. Siena served on the IHRSA Board of Directors from 2003 to 2007 and currently co-chairs the Worksite Wellness Committee for Building a Healthier Chicago.
