SAN DIEGO -- Curves International, Waco, TX, was recently named the American Association of Franchisees and Dealers (AAFD) Franchisor of the Year for 2009.
The award was part of AAFD’s Total Quality Franchising awards for the year. The Circuit Fitness Association (Curves Franchise Owners Association) is one of four nominees for the Total Quality Franchising Rookie Chapter of the Year award. Award recipients will be revealed and presented at a banquet April 30 during AAFD’s 17th Annual Conference in San Antonio.
“Curves management has encouraged and supported the organization of an independent franchisee association, including a willingness to engage the association’s elected leadership,” says AAFD Chairman Robert Purvin.
Curves has almost 10,000 franchisee-owned clubs serving 4 million women worldwide.
