Federal Court Dismisses Class Action Suits Against Bally

CHICAGO -- The U.S. Court of the Northern District of Illinois dismissed a consolidated class action complaint against Bally Total Fitness. The complaint, which involved 10 separate actions, alleged securities fraud by the company and some of Bally’s current and former officers. According to a statement by the company, plaintiffs will have until Aug. 14 to file an amended complaint.
