A Bally Total Fitness employee in New Jersey was attacked outside his club by two boys who were later arrested after a robbery a few blocks away.

The Bally employee, a 33-year-old man, suffered a broken nose and cuts on his face and body on Feb. 25 after he was attacked upon his return to the club in Jersey City, NJ, according to The Jersey Journal. The attack, which also produced a cut on the man’s forehead that required stitches, produced a splatter of blood on the sidewalk, the newspaper reported.

The victim told police that a boy in a group of six knocked a drink out of his hand and punched him in the face. The rest of the group began beating him, too.

“They just attacked me,” the man said, according to reports.

Later in that same neighborhood, a 42-year-old man was robbed of $500 before police converged on the area and arrested three of the boys, two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old, the newspaper reported. All three were processed at a local police station and later taken to the Hudson County Youth House in Secaucus, NJ.

No reports have surfaced as to the whereabouts of the rest of the boys in the group who allegedly were involved in the attack of the Bally employee.
