Anytime Fitness makeover

HASTINGS, MN -- Anytime Fitness clubs are remodeling with the help of design firm Fabiano Designs.

The traditional Anytime Fitness purple color will maintain a presence in clubs, but it will be complemented by softer and more natural tones.

“The remodeling effort is the next evolution in our club style,” Anytime Fitness CEO Chuck Runyon says. “It’s also an example of how we’re constantly striving to improve the member experience every way we can.”

Fabiano Designs is introducing three distinct themes to Anytime’s current design portfolio: earth, fusion and classic. The Montclair, NJ-based company also is implementing three types of walls that are now required in each club: inspiration, logo and graphic.

“Our goal was to help re-energize and evolve the workout areas by incorporating a warm yet energetic color palette while offering a functionally systematic design layout in the clubs,” says Rudy Fabiano, CEO and design director of Fabiano Designs.

Fabiano, a Club Industry columnist, unveiled a makeover of an Anytime club in Apple Valley, MN, at the Hastings, MN-based company’s convention last week. The Apple Valley club owners, Vince and Theresa Gibbs, chose the earth scheme.

“The impact has been immediate,” Vince Gibbs says. “The new look has generated dozens of new members and renewals and a 51 percent increase in personal training revenue.”

Fabiano says the makeover cost $10 a square foot, or just under $50,000, and took two weeks to complete. He adds that he’s finishing up another makeover of a club in Colorado.
