OXFORD, AL -- The owner of an Alabama fitness club, along with his wife and the club’s manager, were arrested Wednesday in a steroid drug bust.

Cooper Freeman, owner of Dynabody Fitness in Oxford, AL, was arrested and charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance and several counts of possession of a controlled substance, a local drug task force commander told The Anniston (AL) Star. Freeman’s wife, Amanda, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, and Billy Cole, the club’s manager, was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime and possession of a controlled substance, the newspaper reports.

The Calhoun/Cleburne County Drug Task Force, along with the Calhoun County Sherriff’s Office and Alcohol Beverage Control Board, raided the club, Freeman’s home and Cole’s home simultaneously on Wednesday.

The raids uncovered drugs at both homes. The task force also found paperwork at the club that indicated that the club was used in connection with the drug trade, the commander of the task force, Lt. Chris Roberson, told the newspaper. Roberson added that steroids, syringes and other supplies were strewn about Freeman’s home.
