SAN RAMON, CA -- 24 Hour Fitness is expanding its hiring criteria for personal trainers to include several additional fitness certifications in the industry.
The San Ramon, CA-based company is actively recruiting to fill 1,200 open positions through online postings, social media, career fairs, referrals and in-club materials.
24 Hour now recognizes accreditations from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), The Cooper Institute, International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA), National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF), National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) and National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT). 24 Hour also will accept a fitness-related bachelor’s or master’s degree for a personal training position.
In other 24 Hour news, the company is taking donations from members through July 4 to raise money for Playworks, a nonprofit organization that provides safe, healthy, inclusive play and physical activity to schools. Playworks, founded in 1996, was known as Sports4Kids for 13 years.
On Saturday and Sunday, 24 Hour is honoring Father’s Day by opening its doors to all members and nonmembers. Parents will receive Kids’ Club babysitting free of charge on those days. 24 Hour held similar open-door promotions last month during Mother’s Day and Memorial Day weekends.
