Program Manager, Navy Fitness
Lisa Sexauer is program manager, Navy Fitness, Sports and Deployed Forces Support
Commander, Navy Installations Command. She received a BS in sports medicine from High Point University in 1990 and a professional certificate in public health leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in August 2007. She has 10 years of experience in clinical rehabilitation and 15 years of athletic training experience working with a variety of athletes across the continuum of sport, including her most recent stint in professional ice hockey.
She discovered her passion for serving the military community while working with the United States Marine Corps for five years developing injury prevention and fitness programs at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. She joined the Navy fitness team in April 2007 as assistant program manager and assumed her current position in April 2009. She is responsible for programs that provide services to more than 330,000 active duty service members and their families. Those services encompass more than 250 full-service fitness centers, satellites, annexes and forward deployed operating locations as well as personnel and equipment aboard more than 300 ships worldwide.
