Karen Woodard-Chavez has owned and operated six clubs since 1985, including a body/mind center, three fitness centers and two indoor rock climbing facilities.
She now devotes her time to developing staff training materials, research, writing, speaking and consulting in the fitness industry. Her areas of focus are marketing, sales, service and management training.
For the past three years, she has been a columnist for Club Industry magazine, and for many years, she has been a presenter at Club Industry trade shows on topics related to marketing, sales and staff training.
