Amy Florence Fischbach will celebrate her sixth year with Primedia Business Magazines and Media in June 2005. Before serving as the managing editor of Fitness Business Pro, she worked as a staff writer for EC&M, a magazine for 140,000 electrical contractors and engineers. She began working at Primedia in June of 1997 as an associate editor for CEE News, a magazine for residential and commercial electrical contracting firms. In 2002, she earned the Young Leaders Scholarship from ASBPE and attended her first national conference. She recently served a two-year term as the vice president of the Kansas City chapter and has won five regional ASBPE awards for her articles. Amy has a B.A. in print journalism and public relations and a M.S. in journalism from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan. As a graduate student, she conducted her thesis research on the relationship between the Mexican press and the government and served as a graduate teaching assistant for a course on newspaper design. She has a son named John David, who was born on September 29, 2004.
