Gray Institute and GoMotive today announced the official launch of a mobile software system to help health and fitness businesses retain clients and build referrals. The partnership integrates 6,000 Applied Functional Science video exercises within state of the art web and mobile apps. Physical medicine practitioners can now assess client’ needs in clinics and gyms and create virtual workouts instantly available to their clients’ mobile device or computer.

The new partnership pairs the expertise of GoMotive, a health and wellness software and marketing firm, with the rising stature of movement therapy, in particular the Applied Functional Science methods of the Gray Institute.

“I’ve studied all the exercise software out there, and GoMotive hit a home run with Version 2,” said Jay Morgan, owner of Dynamic Health and Fitness. “The science and art of assessing movement deficiencies can be complicated, but GoMotive made it simple. We can now offer Virtual Training services using their software.”

GoMotive is known for its rehab-based online workout prescription system, but product adoption was limited until they were able to combine unique client retention tools with Gray Institute Applied Functional Science and exercises. Since the BETA launch of their new “Client Builder” software in late March, the partnership has signed hundreds of health and fitness providers looking to improve quality of care within a white labeled mobile app that promotes their own practices.

The combination of a mobile app, Gray Institute backing, and a highly customizable platform has prompted practitioners from around the world to create and share science-based workout templates. Practitioners can choose from a variety of plans offered through the Gray Institute or directly from GoMotive.

“We serve thousands of trainers and rehab professionals around the world, and they want to go mobile,” said Gray Institute Chief Operating Officer Keith Bozyk. “Now they can.”

The movement to go online began four years ago, as clients realized there had to be a better way than stick figures to provide home exercise instruction. But the business model for online workouts never took off without clearer marketing benefits to the practitioner. As a result, GoMotive focused on serving the client retention and mobile communication needs of the health and fitness practitioner. Their turn key apps promote the individual practitioner, creating a long term virtual connection to every client, with free workouts, news, and workout templates that save time in serving clients on the cloud.

The new Client Builder software motivates clients to set goals, request feedback, and track their exercise activity in real time. The software lets trainers and rehab professionals monitor client progress and success in returning clients to health and fitness, increasing client satisfaction and retention.
