With more than 110 seminars at Club Industry 2010 this year, it may be difficult to sit in on every seminar that you’d like—but you can sure try.
With a shorter show this year, all these sessions have been condensed into three days instead of four, which means more seminars each day.
The seminars are divided into 13 tracks: business management, sales and marketing, customer service and retention, leadership and personal development, business practices for personal trainers, training insights and techniques, active training sessions, creative programming, specialty populations, nutrition and weight loss, wellness and lifestyle, corporate wellness opportunities, and medical fitness: Rx for health.
For trainers, the schedule of practical workshops has been expanded. These workshops include both a lecture and a demonstration of the material either with equipment or workouts. These interactive sessions allow trainers to break down an exercise so they can understand how to teach it to their clients.
Trainers who attend the seminars can earn continuing education credits from the following organizations:
- American Council on Exercise (ACE)
- Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA)
- American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
- American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA)
- The Cooper Institute
- International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA)
- International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA)
- International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA)
- National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA)
- National Council of Strength & Fitness (NCSF)
- National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA)
- National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT)
- National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA)
- National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA)
- SCW Fitness Education (SCW)
- World Instructor Training Schools (WITS)
