A little eating, a little drinking and a little blues. What could be better at the opening reception for the Club Industry 2010 Conference and Trade Show in the Windy City next week? How about the chance to win a free laptop?
The opening night reception, typically held at McCormick Place, has been moved to the House of Blues Chicago in honor of the 25th anniversary of the show.
The reception is sponsored by World Instructor Training Schools (WITS). Drop your card in a bowl at the door and you could have a chance to win a laptop from WITS during the reception. But you must be present at the time of the drawing to receive the laptop.
The reception goes from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6. From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., attendees can hop aboard buses at gate 31 at McCormick Place for transportation to the House of Blues. From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., buses will return attendees to each of the show hotels. The House of Blues is at 329 N. Dearborn, only a few blocks from the Palmer House Hilton for anyone who wants to walk instead.
The House of Blues is known for its Southern specialties “seasoned with a touch of the Delta,” according to its website.
