Town Sports International CEO Alex Alimanestianu wrote an op-ed piece for The Washington Times that appeared Sunday. That's a good placement for Alex, since Washington, DC, is one of TSI's four major markets (New York, Boston and Philadelphia are the others).
Alex brings up a lot of good points about the health club industry's role in health care, and he promotes the would-be benefits of the WHIP (Workforce Health Improvement Program) Act and the PHIT (Personal Health Investment Today) Act. Congress has yet to pass either bill.
What are your thoughts on Alex's editorial. Do you agree with his viewpoints?
