It's not too late to have a beach body this summer. Town Sports International (TSI) wants to give consumers an alternative to covering up on the beach with a toll-free help-line starting on June 21, the first official day of summer.

TSI—operators of New York, Boston, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia Sports Clubs—today announced the launch of its “I Am Buff” hotline, a toll-free service manned by certified personal trainers and dedicated to helping consumers battle the beach bulge, one workout at a time.

The “Bathing Suit” hotline center–which can be reached by dialing 1-855-I-Am-Buff – opens its phone lines Friday, June 21st, and will be fully staffed for three days (until Sunday, June 23rd) from sunrise until sunset (6am ET to 9pm Et each day). Callers will be able to tone up on beach season tips like how to safely get started on a fitness routine, how to advance past a workout plateau, how to exercise during a heat wave, no-equipment moves for summer vacations, moves you can actually do ON the beach, and how to integrate cardio and weight training in intervals for the quickest workout with the most calorie burn. Non- members will also receive a free one-week pass to the club and one free UXF (Ultimate Fitness Experience small group training on a special UXF Zone) session to help them jump start their beach fitness routine in time for the Fourth of July!

“This hotline was designed for anyone who was lazy in May, and just realized the 4th of July is two weeks away,” said Chris Ruta, vice president of fitness for Town Sports International.  “We launched the ‘Bathing Suit’ hotline as a public service to offer support and encouragement that it's not too late to make a difference in your body and feel confident wherever your summer travels take you. By offering expert fitness advice and a free pass to our facilities, we hope to alleviate some of the additional stress that surfaces around the beach season.”

Tips and a free one-week pass are also available by emailing

Help line photos of the trainers answering the phones (in beach attire) are available by request.
