Best of the Best: The magazine reveals the winners of the Best of the Best competition in these four categories: Best Children’s Program, Best Behavior Modification Program, Best New Member Integration Program and Best Nonmember/Community-based Program. The article will offer insights into each program that will show why they were named Best of the Best.
Military: Military bases around the world regularly hold running events. From short one-mile races to 5Ks and full marathons, these events are helping to keep communities fit, raising the profile and notoriety of the different military branches and encouraging the sport of running to all exercise levels.
Locker rooms: Some fitness facilities employ a tiered locker room system, but at some university facilities, this system is coming under fire. Is it a good idea for facility owners to implement systems where more luxurious locker room amenities and facilities are provided for some while others go with less? What type of amenities are typically offered in the higher tiered locker rooms, and how much extra are members willing to pay for these?
Marketing/Branding: Traditional marketing simply is not working for most operators at the moment. What are some of the new, creative guerilla marketing efforts that clubs are using to drive prospects through the doors?
